Giveitfish
Just been browsing www.howmanyleft.co.uk and even allowing for that sites inaccuracy I was shocked at just how rare the Evora is. I’ve owned a couple of car variants which were short runs - the Mazda RX8 PZ and MG ZT 260 which both had around 800 made. In fact ZT 260 owners generally refer to their cars by their production number. I owned no. 97 What I hadn’t realised is that there are only around 650 Evoras on the road in the UK at all, of any flavour. There are more McLarens than that. When I was looking for a car I was dreaming I might find a NA Sports Racer. Luckily I did, but what I didn’t know is that there are only 25 of them in the country to choose from! mik
They sure are. Some nice cars. 😎 We had a boggo RX8 231. It was one of those cars that I loved despite its faults rather than hate desipte its virtues. 23mpg no matter whether you pootled or spanked it was frustrating, but it demanded you drive it to access the performance. Steering was lovely. Good car. I lije the MG ZT 260 but always felt it needed at least another 80bhp. I owned an LS3 VXR8 instead. Growly. Evoras are simply sublime though. 🙄
Giveitfish
I think loving cars despite their faults is a trait of mine, otherwise how do I explain the two Smart Roadsters I’ve owned? Agree about both cars, had a few problems with my RX8 and the mpg got really tiresome, but when it worked it really worked. The ZT was also a fab car but totally different character - it was all about just cruising and rumbling around. A supercharged one would’ve been fun to own but still very different to a VXR I’d imagine. Did you know there are almost as many Ferrari 458 Speciale in the UK as Evora Sports Racers? (S and NA)

mik
Only 53 'charged manual SR's from memory too. Which explains why it took me 5months to find one in one of the two colours I fancied.

trcm
You have the best Evora in my opinion @Bruss.
Bruss
Very kind but I think the latest 410/430 with the lighter chassis and the newer Bosch traction control probably has the edge. Of course mine is better inside though 😍
Gold FFM andyj007 Posted June 9, 2018 Gold FFM Report Share Posted June 9, 2018 (edited) when your on the forum allot, attend a few lotus meets, have 3 main dealers & factory within 1.5hrs , and 5 evora owners within a 3 mile radius its easy to forget just how rare they are... which is why every one you meet outside of the lotus world tells you that they'veve never seen one before, i guess those living outside the uk must have even more rarity Edited June 9, 2018 by andyj007
Nathan Pitman
According to that website there are only 39 auto Evora 400’s in the UK!

Popular Post Gm77
In the local station car park the other day were 3 400s - and it wasn’t an organised meet. In these parts you’re more likely to see an Evora than a 911! It’s a wonderful place to live...😁 Greg 3

Great choice in cars Funnily enough my Smart Roadster Brabus Finale Edition is rarer than my Evora. I do think the late/SR Evora versions in N/A form are the pinnacle of the Evora range. By far the sweet spot.
EGTE
They're so rare that even at the Lotus-club meeting I attended the other day, no-one had ever seen one before! Your numbers also explain why I never found the NA Sports Racer I wanted 🙂
phenoyz
what is the difference between an (NA) Evora vs (NA) Sports Racer Evora?

pete757
LOL! A bit more than that mate... pete757
Good for you! 😎 Mate!! Yes, indeed you could spec up any Evora to the 'Sports Racer' level, and indeed also add the 'black paint'. Given most European cars arrive in Oz with what would be classed as a 'European loaded car', I am not surprised that yours also has all thee packs as well. However the SR came 'out of the box' with all of that as 'standard'... which I think was what 'phenoyz' was asking.
Techyd
I've just done a quick search on Evora S 4 V6 Auto (so my car obviously!) According to howmanylefttoday, in 2018, Q1 there were 6 taxed on the road and 7 listed as SORN. I'm amazed - only 13 in the country!! 2GOOD
You might want to look up the SMMT new car registration figures once in awhile. Lotus aren’t doing very well this year compared to last year 🙁, I drive one of 36 Lotus registered this March, which was their best month so far this year. McLaren have registered considerably more cars & some little French outfit finally registered their first 11 cars in July (Alpine, Lotus beat them 😇).
