For those who may be interested, this is what the X-trac sequential looks like disassembled for inspection -- very compact.

I agree, I've really enjoyed the X-trac....shifts great.  Lotus did a good job on programming the ECU/TCU integration....flat-shift and auto-blip have been superb.  It has also proven to be quite robu

Well, in my case, the X-trac has been taken out and inspected twice, first time @3200 miles and second time @6600 miles.  Both times, the trans specialist indicated that everything looked and tested out great and no parts needed to be replaced.  He told me to continue  doing whatever I'm doing maintenance-wise and shift-strategy wise.

I believe the X-trac manual calls for a visual inspection every 1200 miles -- replacing parts as necessary.

I got the opportunity to be in the CUP R and the gearbox is awesome.

I asked to my dealer a quote for a xtrac gearbox in the 430, but it's really expensive , too expensive for me.

I always hope that Lotus will put a new auto/sequential gearbox in a road legal exige.

I know Komotec already have a sequential box and are working on installing a dual clutch gearbox (AUdi based). I think Daniel is waiting for sufficient customer pressure to finish this.

I hope the pricing will be right.

Anyone know the xtrac ratios and final drive of the v6 cup r?

Geartox could you let me know how much you were quoted for the fitting of the xtrac?

If you want by message.

Thanks

I believe that Elise Racing have or are working on a Bmw DCT option for v6 Exige.

They seem to have a number of applications for this box. And if the internet is correct, it’s actually slightly lighter than the stock Exige v6 (EA36?) gearbox.

Just in case does anyone know or recommend any place in uk where they can service the xtrac sequential gearbox?

On internet I found track group, Elise Spares, sgs racing, etc but would like to know if anyone can recommend some of them or others
