williamtherebel 413
Remember the instruction on tins of paint? "store in a cool place". Well my garage is usually freezing so I don't normally have to think about things like that. Not today. Just watching the football when all the lights go out. Checked the electrics and it kept tripping out. After going all through the house and finding nothing, went outside to check the freezer ----- paint everywhere, including the car bonnet. Luckily I managed to get the car cleaned (first job of course!). However Lots of other Lotus stuff has had to be cleaned rapid and some is ruined. The paint was already setting. I suppose, luckily, the paint had gone on an electric socket thus shorting it out otherwise I wouldn't have know anything about it until the next time I visited the garage. Scary. So get outside NOW and check your beloved Lotus is Ok. You have been warned!

mayevora 1,184
I wasn’t aware a paint pot could do that. On a similar heat related car issue. Many years ago I bought a can of icy cold lemonade around 8am on what would become a very hot summers day and parked up and left the car about 8.30am. I left this can of lemonade in the car all day. At some point during the day the lemonade (whilst being in the sun all day) boiled to the point the can exploded coating the complete inside of the car with what I can only describe as sugary syrup that resembled and felt like a very line layer of candy floss. The seats, headlining, Windows and controls all covered. Couldn’t believe how 1 can could make so much sticky mess. I saw a twat today in a Sainsbury’s car park get out at mid-day and leave his dog in the car. 3 different people including me chased him down to to hear those immortal words “I’m only going to be 5 minutes” Cock! Kimbers 1,781
Lets face it, that car 2 inches from your boot at 70mph is bound to be an Audi or BMW. I save my loathing for both equally. Anyway, back to the post...paint cans exploding Quote Possibly save your life. Check out this website.http://everyman-campaign.org/ Distributor for 'Every Male' grooming products.
