Thanks all. Off to see the Red one, just got off the phone with the dealer, very helpful, he sent a walk around video, and it looks in great condition, in the walk around video, I saw the sport button, which is good. Its had a new clutch, and cam belt with timing chain in March this year, at a large cost! And a large file if invices, apparently it was ex lotus management, then the current seller, so not many owners.

Clutch done is  huge bonus. Hope you have a good "viewing" and fingers crossed for you. Ardent Evora NA's will always hold a special place in my heart. They are cracking cars...

I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. I'll probably leave it in the same way.

Thank you :) Suddenly realised, before I get too excited, they're in tier 3, and I'm in 2, will check if I can go..

After looking closer at the photos, I've unfortunately decided not to go for the Red one, as nice as it is, lots of little things that could cost.

Now edging more towards the Persian Blue one

Just some details I noticed with the red Evora AU10BHN. The indicator repeaters are the wrong way round on front clam, i.e. trailing edge forwards. Looks like they have been off/replaced at some point. The leather is missing from top half of the gear knob and the spare key looks like it's just a transponder key with no buttons,  hence why the key fob is covering it in the photo. I also noticed the aforementioned rear seat wear; looks like a baby elephant has been in the back!

Lover of everything Lotus Cars and proud owner of production Evora No.75 (2nd UK customer specced car by VIN). Originally from the Far East....of Anglia, I read black box data for a living so that could explain a lot!

Quite a few things that I didn't spot..

The Blue one does seem to look better, and has the aluminium gear know, snd what looks like a newer radio.

Like the early post refered to above about a topic from 2017 - I’m absolutely sure that car has been a damaged repaired one. Could be wrong - but there ain’t many of these about in identical spec.

Only here once

Persian blue does indeed look like the better car from the info and pics there.

Replacement gearknob though is sitting too high! They’ve not changed the shift tube. You can just unscrew the knob and hacksaw the (unseen) top of the shift tube off though to drop it to the correct height.

If I was in the market for a car again I’d be all over that blue one, subject to a test drive and good nose all over it

That shouldn't it too bad to do hopefully..

The more I look at it, i do like it, just messaging them now to arrange a time to view, its closer than the red one as well.

Hi all, just a quick one, with the blue one, if it has the arm rest, does that mean it has the premium pack, with the extended leather?

Yes. It also have the Evora silver badge on the front of the leather dash which is usually an indicator of a launch edition as @LotusLeftLotusRight says.

@jamesbilluk yes, the blue one in Derby definitely has the premium pack (as previously mentioned it's probably a Launch Edition); additional identifiers of the premium pack are the rear seat, door cards, lower dashboard (glove box door etc.), centre console sides and door sill covers will be all leather. From one of the interior photos I can tell the sill covers and centre console are of the all leather variety.

It might also have a "Launch Edition" plaque on the driver's door sill near the B pillar.

is this usual for a lotus to change hands often?

I had my evora s for around a year and a half, i then got a newer more powerful one, which I will keep for longer. . In the past when I had 4 excels one after the other, i had them for around 1.5 to 2 years each, but had the last one for at least 10 years as I could not get a newer one! I would say that service history/condition is more important.

Thank you,

The service history does look good, will have to see how the condition looks, seems ok in the photos...

Is that often, and does it matter?

If there's an extraordinary amount of owners then it could mean there's an issue with the car and everyone has moved it on, but Evora's don't really have insurmountable/expensive problems nor would they sell often if they did, so there's nothing really to read into the owner number in my opinion.

No and no!  These cars are probably most often bought as a 2nd or 3rd weekend "toy" car. As such I would say often they are owned for 12-18 months and then the owner craves something "new" to play with.

You only have to read the "ownership" comments/threads on here to see this. You need to buy on condition and service history in my opinion. Number of owners is really not an indicator. I have seen 10 year old Ferrari's with low mileages and 10 owners!

Hopefully I'm allowed to post this...

I have decided to attempt to sell my 400 (advert is posted on the lotsucarsforsale site in fact😲). I've loved owning it and there will be tears if/when it departs as it is the car I would've bought new from the factory in 2016 if I could have but... as may be apparent from some historic posts of mine in other threads, I have wanted a Cayman GT4 for a long, long time and the man maths calculations put me in a spot where I can just about afford to buy one. I have many more pictures of the 400 and will likely be asking anyone who buys it for first refusal if they move it on!

Good luck with your sale, I hope the GT4 gives you the satisfaction you desire but suspect you will be back.

I suspect that's right @C8RKHbut I've had this itch for years and I won't be able to move on until it's scratched.
