Bravo73
Maybe it was the OEM Techcentre that ‘he’ was referring to? (ES also installed the Delta ECU on my car. My car was the next one done after their yellow car).
EGTE
How do Lotus get away with not selling their Techcentre to independents? I thought that right-to-repair laws would have made that unlawful.

I thought that right-to-repair laws would have made that unlawful. You are confusing two things surely. Right to repair will be access to spares and no penalty if not done by an authorised person - in other words warranty still stands (if OEM parts used) etc. Surely any proprietary technical equipment is up to lotus who they sell it to, let use it. I think you'll find that many companies do not give their jewels like these away. That is why a range of 3rd party companies, including well know brands like SNAP-On amongst others, create their own alternatives to be sold to garages. Some do the job 100%, some have limitations. Under EU Block Exemption Regulations Lotus let people rent the VFI system by the hour/day/week/year. Not everything is available, eg VIN rewrite, mileage correction etc but enough to be able to diagnose and repair cars. Moonus
As the title says really, anyone on here know or have owned this Evora 400 in the past, Reg GV67 VHE? Or shed any history on the cars past life? Thanks Roy

Dan425
Was that back in Nov? How much did it sell for at the time? I think I saw someone else post recently that he's trying to sell it for more than you sold it for?
Gold FFM Barrykearley Posted March 14, 2021 Gold FFM Report Share Posted March 14, 2021 (edited) Sold it over the new year. It was due a service, needed some new tyres fitting but a set of winters were included, needed a damn good valet, the boot leaked, sail panel was cracked and the reverse camera had a mind of its own. Other than that it was a fantastic car. He has added some black pack detailing to it. The ppf was torn behind the passenger door. It’s also had a new number plate added. It sold quickly for £25K - I’d say the asking price currently is fair. Edited March 14, 2021 by Barrykearley Quote Only here once

In that case it would have to be on ebay with a buy it now of 50p, in the same way Tim of Car SOS had his esprit sold.
Hughesy83
Lovely car that and missed out on this first time buy a couple of days. Bit of a price hike in a couple of months but that’s probably what you have to pay for a low mileage clean car.

You're trying to sell a car so you post up pictures of it looking a mess. I agree with the other poster, I think his wife has put it up without him knowing as no one would try to sell a car looking like that surely? Doug Ashley
Will's ad has only just disappeared from PH, I'm sure it was also 39k. It sold on 25th Feb going by Will's FB page.

To be fair, if it's being sold for health reasons, we don't know what that might be so he may not be in a position to take nice pictures at this time. I wouldn't write it off for a bit of dirt on it, worth a look surely.

Not writing it off at all (and had not picked up on the reason for sale, sorry) just a comment that you are selling a £35k-£40k item and therefore present it in its best light. That blue is a stunning colour, but being dirty like that you won't see the true colour in the photo's. Quote I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. Doug Ashley
I'm almost certain it's this exact car: https://www.lotussilverstone.co.uk/vehicle-details/Lotus-Evora-U110/#tabs-panel604f7b6db1ce3 I spoke to Silverstone when searching for mine last year and they sold this in 2018. I didn't hear back assuming the owner was not willing to sell at the time (Aug/Sep), but the MOT mileage history matches up. It sounds to me like the latest owner wanted an IPS, ran out of patience and went for a manual, and after a couple of weeks decided they can't manage day-to-day with it. Cleaned up I suspect this is a very decent example.

Graham Ridgway
Morning all. noticed a GT430 come up on AT this morning at 7,000 miles and £82K at Sytner in Cardiff (Sytner Select?). No more details and not on the Synter website as far as I can see. Anyone know more about it? I assume it's quite a close-knit ownership group.
