Gold FFM C8RKH Posted March 21, 2021 Gold FFM Report Share Posted March 21, 2021 I agree @CDM2018. I think that is a bombproof purchase for now, and the future. Cannot see that car losing a lot of money in the next 2/3 years even if it gets used! Not many at that age and mileage with a full 7 stamps in the book so provenance looks very sound and likely to have lived a very pampered life till now. Also in my humble the best colour for an Evora - timeless appeal and no "faddy" on trend look that some looks dated. 1 Quote I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. Hello C8RKH Reading previous post I know you had an NA evora prior and then moved the the 410 you now have. Does the extra power and lower doors seals make for a significantly better car experiences? I had a sports racer NA previously and seriously considering the Will Blackman car. I but I'm also tempted by this car which is equally good value for what you get. https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/9794476?cId=11222069&cId=10966139&cId=10259729&cId=10391618&cId=9217183&cId=7612933&cId=9692088&cId=10340587&cId=9794476&cId=11425001&cId=11244706&cId=11404610&cId=11422233&cId=11111740&cId=10189611&cId=10940691&cId=11098140&cId=10720546&cId=11420487&cId=9791748&cId=10969236 In pervious posts you have said you miss the NA. having the experience of both cars if you had to choose which one of the above cars which would it be and why? Gold FFM Popular Post C8RKH Posted March 21, 2021 Gold FFM Popular Post Report Share Posted March 21, 2021 That Purple 410 is epic @Greg | ValetPro and I am sure a tempting deal to be done. NA with 2bular headers, sports filter and sports cat is a wonderful car. You can wring its neck on the open road and have an absolute hoot, keeping up with most things. If I had the space that Red NA would be in my garage now! Alongside the 410. The 410 is noticeably quicker and sounds the mutts -no good at all if you are they type. Slightly easier to get in. Suspension not as sublime as the NA, a bit harder. But oh my does it go 😆 to be honest Greg I'd be happy to either or both! 5 Quote I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. I'll probably leave it in the same way. That purple car has been for sale for ~2 years (mental!) but now they have lowered another £5k does make it good value for sure. Id personally rather have a car that's higher miles and driven than one that has been sat for so long. It was on 3900 miles in 2019 when they first had it in for sale so its done 200 miles in 2 years .... Popular Post jep
I adore that ultraviolet Evora........such a shame they cannot sell it. In 10 years time, it may command a premium as a special classic but if you plan to sell it on within the next few years, it is a risky buy. I have a NA with cocobolo (brown) leather. I bet it would be a 'miss' for most buyers should I want to sell but I don't ever intend to sell. I bet it will be a 'wow' at classic shows in 2035. A bit like the tartan seats in Elise circa 2015......not popular at the time or now in the second-hand market but I suspect will be desirable soon. Will B sport racer looks value and is a very safe bet. The ultraviolet is a peach but will cost you more in depreciation but has obvious performance advantages. Personally, I don't think you need more than 276bhp in 99% of circumstances - it is perfect for touring and early morning B road blats. Sure, 410 is fab but it is not a quantum better sensation - you have to step to McLaren to get that, which a different level of £'s. scotty435
Agree with most on here the Ultraviolet 410 stunning and surprised it as been for sale for so long, in my personal opinion the cheap looking 410 strip never looked good on a 410sport and would be the first thing I would remove and sure the car would look even better without it. It’s a stunning car especially with the silver wheels and the Carbon buckets seats sadly they lotus dropped them in the GT sport 410 I would much prefer them in my 410. Going from NA to 410, 276bhp for me I felt I always wanted a bit more, is the 410 quantum better sensation for me I would say yes.
Gold FFM Popular Post C8RKH Posted March 21, 2021 Gold FFM Popular Post Report Share Posted March 21, 2021 I agree with @scotty435 - there is a quantum difference in performance between the 410 and the NA - HOWEVER, unless you're driving like a complete prick on public roads you will hardly ever, if ever, leave the NA in your wake - any gap would be more down to the proficiency of the driver and their propensity for risk taking on the public road, than it would down to a lack of proficiency in the NA. I also agree with @scotty435 re the stripes on the 410. I keep meaning to take mine off but just have not got around to it yet. They will be coming off though. What you do get in the 410, that the NA and even the S cannot compete with, is that noise! That beautiful, ASBO loud, raucous, spine tingling, hair on the back of your neck stood up, wonderful noise! It is so bloody addictive it should have a government health warning on it. Whomever buys that purple 410 Sport will have a super car. More GT430's sold than 410 Sport's and they will be like the Esprit GT3's in the future in my very humble opinion. I'm also not sure if it has that much more to drop either in depreciation when you look at prices stabilising as they are. Add in the number of reviews now that the model has been discontinued and I think you will see demand outstrip supply for some time with great Evora's sticking in the £30 - 55k space for some time to come. As usual, I may be wrong though. 3 Quote I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. I'll probably leave it in the same way. Messer
I wonder if the 410s hang around just as they are 2 seats? I know for a lot of people the extra bit of room in the back makes the world of difference and seems to be what brings people over from the exige (myself included )
