£30k for an non-MY12 NA with nearly 50k miles? Hmmm, I’m not sure it’s that keen.

Also no mention of a new clutch either, and at a mileage when it wouldn't be a surprise if you needed one soon. But I'd say it's more or less where the market is at right now for a nice car. Change hands at £28k and both parties should be happy.

Have a look at the Evora clutch pole on here. Not everything you read on the internet is true.

Far more cars still on original clutch than not. A small number of people have had issues with their clutch, but far more have had no issues.

At around £2k to fix from a good independent, it is a big bill for sure. However, some "service bills" for other marques could be that every year.

The PO of my car spent £3600 getting the clutch changed on my car in 2019, and that was with PJ Lotus at £60/hour labour! Agreed it's an overhyped issue though and many cars will go to 70k or more on original clutch with no problems.

Surge in used car buyer demand drives 7.1% rise in values on Auto Trader.

Presumably applies to Lotus (and other lesser makes like Porsche)

I'd love to know which independent quoted you that/did that for you, mine was the best part of £4k with a few other bits at the same time, from a very reputable (on here and elsewhere) independent. Although that was for a 400 clutch and flywheel into my S SR.

Craig Moncreiff. Hugely reputable. Very experienced. Was a couple of years back mind.

I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. I'll probably leave it in the same way.

My NA did 68,000+ miles on original clutch and was probably good for longer - the gearbox gave up 4th, 5th, 6th - so clutch was renewed at the same time.

Hopefully good for another 68,000+ miles.

PO change the clutch on my old NA at 32,000 miles the bill came to £3800 would be surprised if independent could get below 3k, happy to be proved wrong. Any members on here dipped below 3K ?

IIRC Hangar111 change clutch without removing rear clam and quote a very competitive price. I spoke to another long established specialist last month who said he tried this and decided it was hardly worth the minimal cost saving.

The list of fixes on your car seem extremely familiar to me!  😂

Although I've also had brake and throttle sensors replaced, upgraded the head unit, put metal oil pipes on the bottom of the engine and replaced the tailgate struts as well, plus cat-bypass pipe.......I think I'd better stop there!
