Bibs
Very early cars came with chrome door handles. They didn't last long into the production run. Gold FFM EuropaSman Posted May 2 Gold FFM Report Share Posted May 2 That's interesting info @Bibs 👍. The certificate of provenance for my LE (75th production Evora) mentions colour coded door handles as a selected option as well as paint colour. I was led to believe that the forged 18"/19" wheels, wheel finish in silver or stealth grey and choice of interior colour were the other options available to customers when ordering a Launch Edition early on. Anyone out there know any different? Quote Lover of everything Lotus Cars and proud owner of production Evora No.75 (2nd UK customer specced car by VIN). It was owned by a Club Lotus frien who sadly passed away a year or 2 ago. Its a very nice car and priced very keenly to sell. It is being sold by Qmech Lotus specialists who have looked after the car and any enquiries should be directed to Andy Stanford on the number given. surely cant be a LE as its a 2+0 ?? great entry price though

Gold FFM EuropaSman Posted May 2 Gold FFM Report Share Posted May 2 @windymiller good spot! I missed the fact that the red one was a 2+0. Like you I thought all the Launch Edition cars were 2+2s. Either it's not a LE car or someone has converted it to 2+0 spec (can be done 2+2 to 2+0 I seem to recall, but not the other way around because the 2+0 doesn't have the prerequisite bits for things like rear seat belt anchor points etc.). Or it's a "Hethelism"! 1 Quote Lover of everything Lotus Cars and proud owner of production Evora No.75 (2nd UK customer specced car by VIN). Whitey
Probably not an LE car then, but a very early one and if anyone is interested then a phone call to QMech will have any queries sorted 👍

kkv444v
The car for sale at Castle Combe is a 2010 model, registered in July '10. I was surprised at the price, which seems a bargain as a trade sale with warranty.

They ain't making any more (perhaps) so it may find a buyer but it feels a tad toppy to me. The red trim is not popular in the market at the moment, the seats need a contrast of black to soften. Justin Looks as if this car was sold from NI and is now on AT - 2022 registered 400 . https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202204244970885 at £68500 - private sale. Bravo73
£69k for a 400? Isn't that slightly, erm, 'ambitious' pricing (even considering the mileage and the current market)?
Techyd
I do think people are interested in these cars but honesty the ones staying on the market are all over priced and are putting buyers off, especially those S1s at Hendys.

Hi Guys, This is my car - happy to answer any questions. It’s a fabulous thing but my obsession with elderly BMWs has got the better of me and I just wasn’t using the Lotus. I usually have stuff I can tinker with and the lotus doesn’t tick that box. Don’t think anyone should worry about it being an ex press car - I’ve fixed a few niggles in my ownership under warranty and Silverstone have given it a clean bill of health (I have the bill to prove it!) B&C refreshed all the gear linkage mechanism for me and it’s had a recent geo and new tyres. It is pin sharp to drive. Cheers
