Conceptwho
Found out this is a boot release. This isn’t standard is it?? DIY job because the boot release seized?
Jonathan Ashcroft
Oh dear. That is certainly not std. There is an emergency boot release under rear seats if battery is flat or key fob faulty but putting a button in is a little bit sketchy. I mean it is a good idea which lotus should have done but perhaps in a less janky fashion.
Gold FFM Cdm2018 Posted May 23, 2022 Gold FFM Report Share Posted May 23, 2022 you have a button it would need to be operated by fob ? be a faff to have a key insert ? What was wrong with pull release ? Seems a little strange modification 😮

jerzybondov
I don't think this car would hold up particularly well to a close inspection tbh.

Definitely non standard 🤔 Looks naff and spoils the lines. Add lightness and remove asap 😉
Gold FFM TdM Posted May 24, 2022 Gold FFM Report Share Posted May 24, 2022 How much is it going to cost to remove though? PITA I would have thought. Need to route a new release cable if the old one is gone (likely) then remove the loo flush and fill the hole. Unless you fancy trying a bit of polyfilla or you are quite good with finishing fiberglass you are probably going to need a specialist to get a good finish and repaint etc. I think I'd wait for one that hadn't met Leatherface.

Sharpey
The 9k Sytner S1 for £30k is back on the market. I wonder why the seller pulled out? Wasn't someone second in line on here?

Popular Post Willl
I was lucky enough to get in first on the Sytner one on Saturday. It is truly immaculate - not a mark on it externally, and the same inside other than some very slight wear to the drivers bolster - it even has that new car smell still. I’ve been looking for one for months as a daily driver, but had never actually sat in one until Saturday, and although much more civilised than my old Elise, I sadly just couldn’t face 70 miles a day commute in it and shoe-horning the kids in the back. I’ve no doubt it will make a fantastic car for some lucky person, as it was in stunning condition. 4

Popular Post jep
The Sytner 9000 miler was incorrectly relisted. It sold on Saturday, it is being prepared and I hope to collect next week. I'll run it along side my high miler and see which I prefer. Markindevon
New pistonheads advert… maybe an LE? 2009 ref but ad. days 2010…. Another with very low mileage. Looks lovely: https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/13442869?utm_source=pistonheads&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=saved%20search
scotty435
Agree it looks lovely especially in Liquid Blue it is a stunning colour, a past owner of a 201O in the same colour with all the 3 packs, sadly this is missing the premium pack so not a LE. But still a fantastic car.
