Which is probably good as at £50k+ I doubt your phone would ring or your email ping. Maybe you need to enter a parallel universe of your own 😜

I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. I'll probably leave it in the same way.

Just to throw it out there, market value of my 2010 NA in these parts sits around GBP 54K at today's exchange rate.

Moral of the story: move to Australia if you want a good price on your Evora ;)

Not so good if you want to buy one though. So unless you're downsizing your stuffed aren't you?

My post above which links to my car advert on lotusforsale.com seems to have been removed, is this thread only for externally advertised cars?  I thought this thread was a good resource to capture all Evora's on the market but apologies if I have posted against the rules?

Yep, your posts have been moved to the dedicated thread for your car in the ‘For Sale’ section. This thread is for ‘Evora market watch’, not for TLFers to advertise their own cars.

(www.lotusforsale.com and the ‘For Sale’ section are for that).

Ridiculous

The Lotusforsale site is part of the market.

So, you expect me to trawl this thread and the lotusforsale thread, you should remind yourself of the thread description “to help those searching”

If links to other adverts are permitted, then the whole market should be reflected in this handy one-stop thread.

There aren’t many ‘rules’ around here, @Gazm, and that happens to be one of them. Otherwise, this thread will be filled up with users trying to flog their cars (when there is a dedicated, free, place for that).

Another ‘rule’ around here is please don’t unnecessarily quote the post above your’s:

Oh hello!. Nice example is anyone looking.

Don't know how this one is still available. It's a bargain at that price TBH. I reckon you could buy that stick some SR wheels on it and sell it for a decent profit (not that I would warrant such an activity!)

When I sold my last car I parked down a quiet green side road and took some nice photos in the sun.  Only after I put the ad on auto-trader did the Penny drop that I was on double yellow lines.  From the moment I noticed I couldn’t get past it.  That also was a yellow car - maybe it’s a thing.

Both of those cars look very good though - says a lot about the shape that it wears all colours well.  Loving the gold wheels.

Looks like a deposit has been taken, out of interest, from where would you source SR wheels?

I never said I knew *how* to do it 😃

Speaking to a couple of owners Saturday at the car show and done a bit of research today. I did state ages ago that Evoras were underpriced and anyone selling one below £30k, even for a launch Ed was silly to do so. Well my comment seems to be vindicated. After turning down an offer of £30k last year there is precisely ONE Evora N/A for sale on Autotrader at £32,000 with the next closest, An S 2015 for £40,000. Remember when there were 400's for sale under £40k? (£37 to be precise), well the cheapest is now £52500! for a 2016.

Note to self, trust your market view and bloody buy them when you have the chance!!

Still some low prices arround, going forward its not easy to predict the market

I don't consider that a low priced Evora. 88,000 miles will mean a limited audience (that is just how the market works, it's very mileage sensitive).

The gap between a low miler and average to high is getting wider. I could see a sub-20,000 mile early car being £35k asking, they are becoming very rare. 50,000+ milers are relatively plentiful and are generally sub-£30k.

£27k for 88,000 miles, no warranty, private sale, I'll be interested to see how quickly it sells. My 2010 is at 77,000, I'll be very happy if it's worth £27k or more, not that I am selling.

The other red one granted lower mileage sold recently on eBay, so still moves

i think this is a great entry point for someone wanting a +2

I agree mileage might make it price sensitive, but this is entry level pricing, so not much choice.

Im also an enthusiast to Japanese Domestic Motors and with limited numbers, it’s down to condition, as enthusiast aren’t as concerned with 100k+ if wanting to get into ownership; which I think similar to Lotus to some degree.

It tends to matter less as cars get older. The majority get into higher mileages just due to general use with the passage of time and they start being a bit like trigger's broom at some point anyway!

Generally, my understanding is that cars used regularly are generally more reliable than cars that don't move for months (or more) at a time.

It's the dame with CAT markets that a lot of people run away from.

The CAT marker is just that, it informs you of an accident that happened. However, just because a car DOES NOT hae a CAT market is absolutely NO guarantee your car has not had accident. Yet a lot of people seem to think that as a car has no CAT marker is a better bet than a car that does. Hmmm....

I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. I'll probably leave it in the same way.

There is a page on Facebook which shows non Cat cars but have been involved in accidents. The extent of the damage is quite scary yet they end up on main dealer forecourt too!

same can be said about buying from a dealer or not.

I totally agree, cars tucked away for long periods of time can be troublesome. Probably more so for those which are newer with tech and doesn’t like the battery and backup drained.

one reason what appealed with the evora I have is I know it can be used as a daily as the previous owner did for some period, although unfortunately I haven’t been able to which I intended to, I ensure it gets a regular run, ctek charger inbetween and topped up with super unleaded when it does go out
