Changing the clutch isn’t particularly onerous (once the gearbox & engine are separated). It is removing the engine which is the onerous (and time consuming) part of the process. Incidentally, unless they have been abused, clutches can go for 50k+ miles. This car has only got 25k miles on it.

My 2010 normally aspirated is 61,000 miles on the original clutch. It sees a lot of town driving and has done all its life.

Justin

PS. No doubt clutch failure next week!

Just thought I’d pop in with a quick update now my evora has finally been delivered! It was the GT410sport in military grey previously mentioned on here.   I sold my exige cup to buy it as I

Got it home but hard to drive it back in the dark and heavy rain    just have to wait for the rain to stop so I can find out what’s it like to drive

FYI, but it’s not a Launch Edition. (The Evora was launched in 2009 and the first cars were NA only. This car is an early S).

What makes you say it is an 'S' ???

Owner seems to think it is NA ?

Lotusfella appeared to be referring to the car that he had previously linked:

He hadn’t posted a link to the NA car.

100% it's NA! :)

I bought it listed as a launch edition, my bad, in that case, its a 2010 with all three packs so the same as a LE, apologies for that, I'll correct the ad :)

£3k has just come off the asking price of this one. It's been at the dealers a while

I had a little drive in this one when I Was trying to justify the 400. It’s a very nice car in great condition. Looks like a good deal to me

It's an NA. They made a few NA Sports Racers.

2015 NA wins it hands down, from a dealership so will come with no issues and as all the MY12 improvements.

You really wouldn’t get more selling it to a dealer. Checkout the  webuyanycar valuation of that car.

an absolute bargain for someone - I’d have been all over that car a few months ago

Looks like it has been looked after. With a full service history that has to be a fantastic long term ownership proposition

All that fun the price of the 1st years depreciation on a boggo new A4.

Alcohol. Sex. Tobacco. Drugs. Chocolate.  Meh! NOTHING in this world is as addictive as an Evora +0. It's not for babies!

The first guy to ride a bull for fun, was a true hero. The second man to follow him was truly nuts!

Ooh! Sooooo tempting 🤔

Answers on a postcard please.

Well, if it wasn't an LE, I had considered buying it, stripping it out, and using it just for the track at that price (and for getting there and back). I'd have got rid of the VX for it to be honest.  But the LE trim is too nice to just bash about to be honest and it has all the extras that you'd just be ripping out too.

To good to be molested for a track car, looks like it’s got a good service history with no expense spared and if the photos are anything to go by it looks in great condition, be interesting to know if it ever had a new clutch, wouldn’t it be great if it was still on it’s original with that amount of mileage, for me a great opportunity to get into the Evora market for someone on a budget, come on what does 15k car wise buy you in this day and age?

I’ve spoken to the seller this afternoon.  Seems honest enough but there’s no service book.   There are some invoices from 2014-17 for servicing (just a regular garage local to 2nd owner, not a main dealer or Lotus specialist) but that’s only 3 out of 9 years.  Plus,  the servicing hasn’t been done every 9,000 miles.   No evidence of clutch replacement at all in the invoices and he has no knowledge of any replacement (he’s had it 9 months).  Could be some big bills awaiting the new owner potentially. Apparently there are 'no stones chips at all' so something doesn’t quite add up unless it has had a full front end respray, either to tidy it up or because of a prang..

I’m waiting for more info and photos before deciding either way about perhaps going to see it.   Calipers mentioned in ad is incorrect, they haven’t been replaced.

It’s one of those you’d have to go into with your eyes open, expecting some bills (possibly really big ones).   Clutches are on back order until the spring.

Yep! Does add up 100% but still think it was worth a shot.

Agreed deal with him and offered deposit and said would pick up in 10 days but he refused that. Was trying to arrange earlier collection which he said he would do but then sold it to someone else!!

Only had 2 weeks MOT but said he would do that.

Ah well there will be more.
