Gold FFM Popular Post windymiller Posted April 16, 2021 Gold FFM Popular Post Report Share Posted April 16, 2021 when your buying second hand sadly you dont have the options of buying new ie colour spec etc etc yes one can have a wish list and when the wifey wants a car omg does she give me a tough spec but ultimately you may have to give on something !!!! (including price) so i was ishy in for the silverstone le they had with 26k miles but wasnt impressed when they put the price up by 2k and suggested i buy it click and collect (seemingly other buyers got the chance to test drive other vehicles during lock down) and i became indifferent to the deal, if it was meant to be it was or if not it wasnt, so it sold and i wasnt bothered BUT when i saw (what ended up as barry's ex car) the le weve ended up purchasing i wanted it end of story, it just felt right, it was the right one and we broke lockdown rules (sorry lord) to view as i knew it would go. if youve done you research and followed the market youll know what is right but ...... difficult call to buy on an upward trend (still feel now is the time to jump in) i have and do dabble in AIM shares and sentiment can get in the way, end of the day forget about the percieved market value if you want that particular car and are reasonably happy with the price then just do it just buy it because, as has been said life is too short!!!!. my wife lost three close family members 46 50 and 54 within nine months last year followed by her dear dad suffering a massive life changing stroke, it was at that point i said boo larx i just want to start enjoying life while i can !!! hence the evora arrived (sorry baz!!) lifes too short !!! 2
mg4lotus
The Evora has ceased production so the pool of available cars is going to get no bigger. Those who have driven the car know how brilliant and beautiful it is. It has effectively achieved classic / cult status. I can only see prices going up depending on condition. The type 131 won't be released until 2022, I can only see demand for existing cars increasing. If you are thinking of buying an Evora I would suggest getting on board while you can. Will the price take a dip when the 131 is released? Maybe, but not by much as I think the status has already been achieved. There will probably be a ceiling to the price as people will then start to look at other exotic cars but this car will surely have put that cachet to the name Lotus.
PAR
If the 131 doesnt have a +2 version, then this would be the last ICE +2 lotus so makes it pretty rare and difficult to replace. As you said not that much out there so that should keep price up, on the other end depreciation still happens for the 4xx so not sure where it lands but I am struggling to see how a 400 would bottom below 40k and that is already not far so doesn’t seem much risk. for the GT410, that should be a bit higher but it is not much more car than a 400 so I am not sure what the current stock will go for. probably a case of if you get one as you want it, you should just buy it as it may not come back. I missed twice on my ideal Esprit and now I have clearly missed the boat.

Chris C
So if Evora production has stopped, how many GT410's were produced? Can only be a handful.

Gold FFM Barrykearley Posted April 18, 2021 Gold FFM Report Share Posted April 18, 2021 Half arsed or not - that’s a keen price. Be interesting to see if those talking about looking actually take a look. 2 Quote Only here once
Gold FFM Cdm2018 Posted April 18, 2021 Gold FFM Report Share Posted April 18, 2021 Keen price but agree advert seems very half hearted ? If any reasonable person spending money on advert would max the car potential ? car is located in Scotland so would limit possible buyers? Many thanks in advance, Ruud Just to be clear, my question was about the GT 410, not the 410 sport, which has been out much longer.

Ruud, The best way that you can find out the actual number is to buy the Certificate of Provenance for your car. You can either go direct to Lotus or, if you upgrade to Gold membership on here, @Bibscan help you out.

I think that is the one that was painted in Matt black not a wrap. It went to scotland early in it’s life. Used to be called Dexter as the reg ended DEX. nice enough if you like Matt black. Can’t say I was ever a fan of it. Quote Blessed with the competence to be a slave to the incapable.
