Think Howards had this one for sale around 3 years ago, the guy who bought it (in Cornwall?) did not have it long as it was for sale again a few months later somewhere near Swindon. Saw one like it at Castle Combe but that was a manual.

Anyone know the split auto/manual of this run of cars?

I think the owner of this car was at Caffeine and Machine about a year ago and said that it was the only Orange and Blue edition 400 in the UK that was an IPS.

it's on Lotus Approved with Silverstone at £57k.......

It was on at 57k and then about a month or so got reduced to 54k on the Silverstone w website. I was watching it because it was tempting me away from my Emira deposit. It probably woulda done if it was a manual.

23/05/21 according to when I took these pics.  Went along in mine, but arrived a bit late and ended up hidden round the back 😂  Good Lotus turnout that day.

Ah sorry- it seemed enough of a coincidence to assume, and I thought I recalled it being an auto but this may have been the GT410 parked out the back near mine.

For what it's worth, I thought the light blue worked incredibly well in the flesh.

I remember in my days in the car industry, we would have a car that wasn’t selling, we would reduce the price a few times, change the ad and single, small, black and white photo in Autotrader 😆, maybe place a colour one in Top Marques with no luck. We would withdraw it for a while then re-advertise it at the original price and sell it. This was however in normal times without all the BS we have now and a major recession looming….

Price has been reduced today from £59995 to £56995 - I saw this car when I was there on Friday with mine for a service - very low mileage, "mature" owner etc. Interior is a bit "Marmite" and it's an auto but condition is lovely - it's prepped and inside the showroom now!

There’s 4 evoras on AT now at less than £30k - it’s been a while since that’s been the case. It won’t stay like that when the spring is here that’s for sure.

Only here once

I think after the significant increases of the second part of last year, prices have taken quite a hit in recent months - and they may yet fall further as the recession / cost of living crisis bites.   I sold my launch Edition in early January this year (so a winter sale) for 33.5 (32k miles IIRC).   That was private sale too of course.  Assuming that Storm one goes for around 27 (= say 26 if private) that’s a full 7.5k less.

OK mine was lower mileage and was very well sorted, but as it was a private sale it’s definitely an indicator that things are on the slide IMO.   There are rather a lot of Evoras of all flavours that have been advertised for months.

I think to achieve a sale in this market, you’ve either got to have something unique / very special, or price it very aggressively so it’s almost a no-brainer for the buyer.  It’s a very tough sell otherwise.

I think what @Barrykearleysays about the winter dip is probably true and it will pick up in spring. And, in case anyone hasn't noticed there are lots of global and national issues happening recently.

And as I have already said, as the Emira comes to be delivered there will be a dip in Evora prices, but I also think that as more people get to know about the Evora, and it is a modern day classic with some attractive features that the Emira doesn't have, then the prices will pick up again.

After recovery I can only expect prices to have an upward trend for good examples.

All this is also dependent on the availability of affordable petrol and the absence of punitive taxation.

I honestly an feeling less and less like a Emira the more I read.

Don't get me wrong, sounds like a great car and it will do brilliantly, but I think the Evora is about right for a daily on raw vs liveable. I would rather go a little harder than softer.

I think thats the frustrating thing for us old school Lotus fans.  The new car is very accomplished but also more subdued and less raw.  It ticks all the boxes that the head wants but only a few of the boxes the heart wants.

Its so close but I know for me and what I want from a car, the Evora is right choice for me.
