Forged wheels...worth the money ?

Hi all,

I have a sport 350 with the standard cast wheels. At around £2500 for a set are they worth the money ? I prefer the look of the forged wheels, but just trying to justify the cost to myself.

Do they make a difference to ride and handling ?

Thanks

The short answer: yes.

The slightly longer answer: due to the reduction in unsprung weight, nearly all aspects of the car’s performance are improved. Braking, acceleration, ‘turn in’ all benefit from reduced unsprung weight.

The OEM variant isn’t the only option, obviously.

Give Dave at Seriously Lotus a call, he might have some if you want a set

Yes.  I remember test driving the demo Sport 350 with them on at Silverstone and was impressed how well it rode the bumpy rounds around there and turn in bite.  I later got an identical car bar the wheels and it never felt as good.

Now have them on the 380 and they are great,  DO IT ;)
