Sparky 2,090 Report post Posted October 21, 2018 As stated by @internets at the start (he cheated) the package contained power steering pipes (the long ones) and the HP hose from pump to long pipe. @temple (Alan) had noticed the HP pipe was leaking and the LP didn't look too good, so it was decided to change them. It was clear that the HP joint was going to be a problem, so it was decided to change the pump hose too. We aced the job - managed to remove the HP hose from the pump by simply removing the pulley and using a spanner I'd prepared for the purpose. It's bloody tight access but I managed to turn it. Well pleased as I really didn't want to remove the pump. Our euphoria was short-lived when we discovered that thee new HP hose was leaking badly at the manufactured joint between pipe and hose. Bugger. Replacement hose required! Shame, as the job had been a good 'un up to then. So, another round of double-jointed contortions in a few days...
