Bibs 11,716
A friend recently invited me to join his chapter of BNI and I'm not a morning person so not sure about the 6.30am start! It did make me think that lots of our members have businesses they work for or run their own businesses that may be of benefit to each other, hence this topic. I'll start! I've been in IT Recruitment for 18 years now if you need anyone headhunted. I design & build websites, have done about 40 now. Great sites, good prices including hosting. Some examples in this thread - https://www.thelotusforums.com/forums/topic/84452-website-design/ I'm a CAA permitted UAS pilot with Inspire 2 drone and some solid clients on the books including a £1bn building company, BMW and Lotus. www.espritdroneservices.co.uk I am involved in corporate video production & top end live streaming. eeyoreish 894
The current Mrs H (Joanne) runs her own holiday villa rentals company Finishing Touch Holidays, website here: www.finishingtouch.co.uk She has hundreds of apartments, villas and country houses for self catering holiday rental, mostly in the Balearics, Portugal and The Canaries. She's been doing it for 20 years so she really knows what she's doing, has visited most of the resorts and many of the properties so she can really help people to find exactly what they're looking for. Every booking is covered by IPP (International Passenger Protection) so, like ABTA or ATOL payments are always protected. If you're looking for a self catering property give her a call! PS: she's looking to have a new website built and having problems with the guy currently working (or not) on it! Quote Not worth starting anything now...🍺

Gold FFM Popular Post Dan E 1,595 Posted November 7, 2018 Gold FFM Popular Post Report Share Posted November 7, 2018 I have always said I have built a business on being absolutely brilliant at saying “sorry” 1. What they didn’t turn up. “ sorry” 2. They are late “ sorry” 3. What walking around with your wife’s knickers on their head, “ who was that, sorry” 4. Their van has broken down, it’s a Monday “sorry about that but Electricians still have the only cars that break down on a Monday, “ sorry but that is a fact with proven data 5. What you think they are doing a “ private job” with my/your materials, I can absolutely promise you, they needed 18000m of 2.5mm Twin and Earth for your one bed flat, “ sorry” 6. It was the plumbers, “ yes sorry about that, but the water stuff is not really to do with us” “ oh washing their cars with your hose” “ sorry” 7. No sorry I promise you I hate them more than you do 1
GTK 684
I can talk your kids out of the notion that a Youtube channel is what they want to do when they grow up 😀 I'm a video producer and Youtube creator. Formerly held positions in national television and radio before moving into private sector media production management, PR, corporate consultancy and communications training. I have journalistic training in many disciplines with copy published in both print and online media for household names. My unrelated professional experience; I've worked for an extended period at sea as Mate/Bosun, have qualified as a lifeguard/surf instructor, have experience in tourism promotion on an international level and have training in interrogation. Can barter knowledge only at the moment but please pick my brain, I'll help any way I can. My goal is promotion of my Youtube channel, and networking for sponsorship. Composite guru 76
I'm an ex Aircraft Maintenance Technician now Composite Production Engineer for Red Bull Racing. Been in F1 for 20 years doing composites so owning a Lotus is a natural environment for me. Out of work I seem to take a barrage of flak from people asking why we keep giving Danny Ric a rubbish car over Max. I can offer a bit of knowledge on composite repairs etc but that's probably about it.

dclare 34
Our technology moves massive amounts of data around our customer enterprises: over 3 billion events per day for one of our investment banking customers. Daimler and PSA connected car implementations, NASA weather satellites, earthquake detection in Japan, Singapore Smart Cities, FAA, pretty much all investment banks, consumer banks, Bet365, Hong Kong Jockey Club, William Hill, SAP - they are all customers that have massive real-time data movement requirements and who can't afford to lose a single event or "message" even if they have a complete data centre or network failure. Its an "Event Mesh" that runs in any of the popular clouds, or on-premise (or hybrid) and its very, very cool!! (If you're into that kind of thing)... www.solace.com Thanks, Dave.
mayevora 1,363
I own and run a Driving School. I am also Fleet registered so am asked to go into Companies to assess any personnel required to use any Company vehicles. (Companies themselves, not just the driver of the vehicle could be sued if proved to be at fault in the event of injury/accident especially to a third party) As well as the basic ‘L’ Driving Test, I also train individuals up to standard to take both the advanced car road Tests - the IAM and RoSPA Tests. Nathan Pitman 237
I’m Creative and Tech Director for a business that provides broadcast quality video based eLearning to small to medium sized businesses (though we also have a number of large enterprises as clients). I cut my teeth on web design and development back when the web first became a thing (late 90’s) and then went on to run my own web agency for ten years before moving in house with my biggest client (where I now work). Edit: grew up wanting to be an automotive designer and studied product design for 4 years before realising my passion for design and technology could be realised though web design and development.
