GregBouz 2 Report post Posted November 24, 2018 Fellow Lotus owners, I was wondering if anyone went down the road of installing a lightweight (race?) battery and if yes, which one and what modifications to hold it in place? I am specifically asking for an s2 1ZZ version. Any recommendations or comments on this topic? I couldn't find anything through search, I hope I am not reopening something already discussed here. Regards, Greg

GregBouz 2 Report post Posted November 28, 2018 @Peapod thanks for this, but what is it? I was basically looking for opinions and maybe a suggestion?
Bibs 8,103 4 Vehicles Report post Posted November 29, 2018 That's the Lightweight battery which is fitted to the Elise Cup cars. It's all Lotus parts so stays OEM and works well enough on the Cup cars so is a good option for you.

GregBouz 2 Report post Posted November 29, 2018 @Seriouslylotus thanks for your input. Are there any modifications needed to plug this is battery in or is it a simple plug and play? And by the way, how did you fix it in the S2? My S2 is 2007 btw.
