S1 - What Goes In There Then ...... ?

Sunbeam Fanatic

Question

Hi all,

So, looking around the cabin of my S1 I noticed that there is a little square box, covered in material, that sits right in-between the two sun visors. When proding it it feels like there is a square hole under the material (which has just been stretched over), if I was to guess I would say it feels the right size for a square clock (there isn't one elsewhere in the cabin).

Is this right or should something else go there or is it just a square lump with a hole in it with material stretched over the top!!

Cheers,

Steven.

I've never seen a clock on an S1; I always thought those started with the S2. . . . what do you think the chances are that the interior was redone in the past and they used parts fron an S2 interior but had no clock? (All the S1s I've seen have nothing between the sun visors.)

Should have a an old fashioned rectangular LCD clock in there! They are extremely rare!

I have got one of those clocks lying in a draw somewhere .............

Hi Hilly,

Does it work and would you be prepared to let it go????

Cheers,

Steven.

I'll have to have a look for it when I get home..........

I haven't seen it working, but if I find it I'll test it at work tomorrow .

I don't intend to re-fit it, so yes it is up for grabs, assuming it works.
