Sticky/dodgy door push

Recommended Posts

My passenger side external door release is sticking/stuck so is almost impossible to depress. Is this a common fault? Not experienced this on past pre V6 models?

Yes. Mine was replaced under warranty and I was told it was a common fault. It was sticking in. It started after the car got wet.  When they change it make sure they don't mess up the clips that hold on the door card as it will not be tight against the door and it will annoy you.

Update on my passenger door push fault.

After two failed ‘fixes’ at dealer which have both failed after a few days I was told a replacement part was on serious back order from Hethel.

I contacted Hethel HQ direct last week stating my displeasure and two days later the replacement mechanism was sent to dealership.

Its off tomorrow for the third time as now depresses but no mechanism works from the depression at all.

Pretty pleased with the response so well done Lotus HQ.

fingers crossed this works.
