well now .. Mr bibs....

i dont think this forum will let me post as long as i want to but i will try to be as detailed as i can.

i joined almost a year ago i think, and immediatly was welcomed by bibs.

i still had my fairlady and was looking for an esprit, the advice flooded in from him and other people.

after a while i actually pm'd bibs complimenting him on the site and the fact the members had been so kind with their advice and help, all this after just joining. a week or two later i made a public thanks also.

as time progressed i spoke with bibs online via msn and a friendship grew.

we fianlly spoke on the phone and really got on well, we spoke candidly about many things and many hardships we both suffered over the years.

over the period of months we spoke often and i got on with the car.

new years eve struck and everything went wrong, like troy he spoke to me as soon as he could via telphone and checked on me constantly.

bibs's concern was very touching and he always berated me for working on the car as did troy.

i finally met bibs at donington this year for the first time and i broke down when i met him, i thanked him for everything and we spoke for some time.

while at donny he made sure i was ok, he also took great pleasure finding me at various parts tables with items in my hands only to slap my wrist hard enough for me to drop the item i had in my hand!! (sorry about the dented thermostat!) ny biggest find was a brand new wastegate adapter section for the exhaust i thought it only said

Working with all the guys and girls has been great, the whole experience has made me look at myself as a person and my life differently. I'm proud to be able to say I've been involved in this project and have DEFINATELY not enjoyed myself quite so much for a very long time.... I'd love to do it all again... and again.....

The work, as long and tiring as it sometimes was, became so enjoyable that the time just simply passed on by, with so many jokes and laughs and the amount of love that was being shared, for me the worst part of the whole experience was the fact that it came to an end... (even before the fence got burnt and my sofa got put on the fire...!!!)

I'll be starting back in the garage next weekend, once its tidied my little monster will be pushed back in... and the work will once again begin...... I guess the memories from the past month will keep me smiling all the way through..... I dont think any part of it will get me down, no matter how hard it may get, as I'll just think back to all this, put Shaky in the deck, open up a can of thinners and get my head back into it...

Bring it all on.....

I agree whole heartedly about Bibsy, both as a person, and for the way he's fostered this caring, sharing family. Although he's been the butt (literally as well as metaphorically) of a lot of our jokes, he's a diamond geezer

Simon, who are you trying to kid about being unemotional? You were pretty darned upset when Troy used your porn to mask up the car I was thinking of coming down to give you a hand with your own car, but I ain't putting up with Shaky for anyone, not even a lovable green ogre
