Other than a dealer, where can I get hold of a soft top for a coupe?

Recommended Posts

Are there any good recommendations of places I can pick up a soft top kit for the coupe? I believe there's a bit of modification needed (any help with that too?), but I'd like the soft roof option come summer time, as it's unlikely I'll be surpassing 140mph on the M60 😋

I'd like to limit the expense as much as possible, so don't mind used either.

The earlier Elise/vx roofs won’t be lined, the later ones have a velour style thermal lining.

depends on your use case and your budget really.

I'd prefer lined in that case. Doesn't look like there's too much around at the moment

Wayne,

You May wish to try a well known south coast lotus website who have a number of soft tops used and new on their classifieds

1,100 euros. half the price the dealer wanted for it.

That's just a greedy dealer then. I paid just under £1,000 for a brand new one with minor drilling works done as well.

I got a brand new one for £700 from another member on here, which also included a brand new Lotus storage bag specifically made for the roof - absolute bargain. Actually did the deal before I had an Exige as I knew it was too good to miss out on👌Helped me with focus when it came to buying the actual car though😄
