The Lotus Cup UK and Elise Trophy 2013 calendars have been unveiled, with both series sharing the bill once more. The season will start and end at Snetterton, just a few miles from the Lotus factory gates, with a 2 hour race into the night with bonus points on offer expected to produce a dramatic conclusion to the Lotus Cup UK championship battle.

In between these rounds both series will visit the UK’s best race circuits including the Brands Hatch, Silverstone and Donington Park Grand Prix circuits, plus Oulton Park, whilst there is a welcome return to Cadwell Park for the Elise Trophy. Meanwhile Lotus Cup UK competitors will visit the majestic Spa-Francorchamps circuit in July. Both series will also support the DTM championship at Brands Hatch in May, whilst headlining the annual Lotus Festival at the same venue in August.

The popular end-of-season endurance race also returns in 2013, running to the 6 hour format that proved to be a success earlier this month. LoTRDC’s Paul Golding said: “The Lotus Cup UK Championship goes from strength to strength and we expect capacity grids once again in 2013. We’ve ensured that our calendar allows drivers to race at the best circuits in the country, plus the opportunity to race at prestigious meetings. Meanwhile having Elise Trophy races at many of the events provides the opportunity to compete in both series.”
