Lotus 2-Eleven team Piranha Motorsport will be the odd one out at Silverstone’s 2 hour, Avon Tyres British GT enduro on the 14th and 15th August.  The diminutive Lotus is outnumbered by the likes of Championship leaders Ginetta and KTM in the G4 class, so the guy’s at Piranha Motorsport would love to see lots of Lotus owners at the event for moral support.

Owners are welcome to come and see the car and team in the pits and, time and space permitting, happy to see enthusiastic Lotus owners in the garage before the race. Its not just GT4 cars either, the grid has swelled for Silverstone with new Ferrari 430 Scudaria’s, Aston Martin DBRS9’s, Porsche RS, Ascari, Dodge Viper  and Mosler GT3 cars in the race not to mention some of the countries top GT drivers.

Piranha drivers, Simon Mason and Chris Bialan are quite optimistic about their Silverstone chances. “We lead at Knockhill before a Dodge Viper rear ended us hard just 4 minutes from the end and we took two 2nd place finishes at the last round, so we know we can do it” commented Chris. “the 2-Eleven body is very aerodynamic and the car weighs only 780kg’s so we are a bit of rocket in a straight line, which should suit the Silverstone GP circuit”.

The car is actually the famous ex-yellow and black Lotus 2-Eleven GT4 development car, although the team have changed a lot since then in conjunction with the factory. Visitors are welcome to ask questions and take some photos.
