From Lotus: “British IndyCar driver Dan Wheldon has died following a massive accident at the Las Vegas Indy 300. IndyCar bosses decided to end the Las Vegas race following the crash. Instead, the drivers took part in a five-lap salute, with Wheldon’s number 77 the only number on the scoreboard. The entire KV Racing Technology – Lotus organization extends its heartfelt condolences to the Wheldon family on this very sad occasion. Dan was a great champion and friend, a loving husband and father. He will be deeply missed.”
Our thoughts are with his friends andfamily, his wife and two young sons at a very difficult time.
