Here’s something to warm you up during a cold December but please don’t try to replicate this at home! Experienced motorsport photographer and Lotus Elise owner Jon Bryant captured this Exige S1 in flames a few years back and it’s become somewhat of an iconic image. From Jon:

I’m married, live in Sussex and am hoping to pick up my Elise 111R in January 2012!
It was only my 3rd ever day with a camera and the first ever race for the Elise Trophy at Brands Hatch in March 2007. I was facing the other way when I heard a gasp from the crowd and had time to get 1 shot off before the fire went out. Just lucky timing. The car wasn’t badly damaged and was back out for Race 2 in the afternoon!
