The first customer took home their brand new Lotus Evora on the 1st September, picking up the car in a handover at the Lotus factory in Hethel, Norfolk.
Matt Melling, of Twickenham looked very pleased to be handed the keys by Lotus’ Operations Director, Luke Bennett.
BBC’s ‘Look East‘ (Click to view), local papers the EDP (Click to view) and the crew producing a very interesting ‘Evora Story’ documentary were present amongst others for Matt picking up the first customer car. which he ordered in Storm Titanium with Oyster interior with full Premium, Tech and Performance option packs. Both Matt and Andy Lang who travelled from Edinburgh to collect his stunning Burnt Orange Evora were treated to a few laps of the famous Hethel test track in a solar yellow Evora with sports exhaust (sounds very fruity, great noise!) driven by Lotus legend, Roger Becker. Matt takes his car home and Andrew has a 3,000 mile road trip through Europe planned, leaving his current Esprit and Elise at home!
