LoTRDC presented race cars to the press and public at the MSVR season launch event, taking pride of place at the head of the pitlane. The racers were picked to represent the Elise Trophy, Lotus Cup Europe and the new Lotus Cup UK Championship at MSV’s flagship Brands Hatch circuit.
A few lucky people were provided with passenger laps by Glenn Sherwood and Jamie Stanley, who were kicking off their partnership in a Lotus Cup UK Exige and Mark Speller, performing driving duties in Mark Gooday’s 2-Eleven that will once again be campaigned across Europe. Newcomer Chris Dunster also gave laps in an Elise Trophy Production car to guests, including former Bath and England Rugby Union star Victor Ubogu.

The event was also the first public appearance of the new LoTRDC Official Safety Car, a brand new Elise S provided by Kent’s main Lotus dealer Lipscomb, for their fourth year in succession as supplier. With a Toyota Racing Developments induction system and Lotus stage 1 exhaust, it will sound as well as look the part when leading the field to the grid at the launch event for the new Snetterton 300 circuit next month.
