A great event to kick off the year is the Club Lotus Festival, held at Donington Park. This year, the dates are the 20th & 21st April for the Show which is the best attended indoor Lotus Show in Europe with an attendance regularly exceeding 5,000 Lotus fans from around the world. The Lotus Forums will have a stand at the show and you can join in our discussion about the event on our forums here

The exhibition hall at Donington has been completely refurbished during 2012 and as well as a new coat of paint there’s a new restaurant, bar, toilets, heating and wiring – you’ll hardly recognise the old place…!

The Show itself will be bigger than ever before and Club Lotus are planning a new show layout inside the halls. All the regular trade, club, autojumble and memorabilia stands will be there and many will have special offers just for the weekend. You’ll also be able to talk to technical experts who’ll be running live technical and practical demonstrations on Lotus engines, chassis, gearboxes, interior trim, glassfibre repairs and painting. Lotus Cars and Classic Team Lotus will be there with special displays as well as celebrating the 50th anniversary of Jim Clark winning his and Lotus’ first Formula One World Championship.

Hundreds of Lotus cars – both road and race – reflecting the great history and heritage of Lotus, will be displayed both inside the hall and on the many club stands outside.

As always there will be lots to see and do inside the hall including individual Lotus club displays and a used Lotus car sales area. All the major UK Lotus specialists will be at the Show selling everything from new cars, tuning kits, new and used spare parts and accessories to insurance, photographs, memorabilia, models, clothing and accessories. A large and varied Lotus autojumble will provide bargain hunters with plenty of fun and value. All Lotus models will be catered for with companies such as Paul Matty, Christopher Neil and PNM covering the classics and Hangar 111 amongst others looking after Elise and Exige owners.

Organised by Club Lotus, the worlds biggest and oldest Lotus Club, the weekend is certain to be the biggest UK Lotus gathering in 2011 and the place to be for all Lotus enthusiasts.

Tickets are £10 on the door (£9 in advance for Club Lotus members), £5 for OAP/child (under 12’s are free) and £27 for a family (2 adults, 4 children)
