Congratulations to Mr C Fraser who yesterday collected his winning prize, the Jim Clark Lotus Evora GT410 Sport.

Mr Fraser from Midlothian, Edinburgh, won this incredible prize following a yearlong competition with The Jim Clark Trust helping to raise funds for charity and the new Jim Clark Motorsport Museum. The winning ticket cost just £20 with over 11,000 entries from across the UK, Europe and around the world. The keys were handed over by Trustees at the new Jim Clark Motorsport Museum, Duns, Scotland.

“On behalf of the Trust we are extremely grateful to everyone who entered the competition. The Jim Clark Lotus Evora competition has been a fantastic vehicle promoting plans for the new museum at motorsport events across the year and raising funds for charity. We hope everyone who entered can one day visit the new museum and many congratulations to Mr Fraser.” Commented Ben Smith, Secretary of the Trust.

Officially the 100,000th Lotus ever built, the Jim Clark Lotus Evora, was created as a tribute to Jim Clark’s famous 1960’s Lotus Elan with a unique red and silver livery and special features. The competition was launched at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2018 and ended on 29 August 2019 coinciding with the official opening celebration event for the new £1.6m museum.

The Jim Clark Lotus was signed by all 20 F1 Drivers at this year’s Monaco Grand Prix with the tailgate kindly gifted back to the Trust by Mr Fraser to exhibit in the new museum.

The museum is open Monday to Sunday, closed on Wednesdays, until 30 November. www.jimclarktrust.com
