Lotus F1 Team took advantage of their one of the two annually permitted ‘promotional events’ to lap the iconic Brands Hatch circuit in Kent yesterday (Mon 27th April) with this year’s F1 car, the E23. Romain Grosjean, Pastor Maldonado and Jolyon Palmer all took to the circuit and were joined by Classic Team Lotus running a thunderous Type 72 as driven by Ronnie Peterson historically. The promotional event must see the car on track for less than 100km and on demonstration tyres to comply with F1’s strict testing regulations. Also on track we saw an Evora Sports Racer and Exige S driven enthusiastically for what we assume were high speed thrill laps for lucky passengers.

This is the first time since Lewis Hamilton did demonstrations laps 7 years ago in his has an F1 car ran around the circuit which ceased being an F1 venue in 1986. TLF were at Brands Hatch yesterday so share with you some of the moments on the day. Please click any image to open the gallery.
