Mark Fullalove and Jon Walker both enjoyed fruitful visits to Belgium’s Zolder circuit this weekend, taking a win each in torrential conditions as the Lotus Cup Europe series supported the FIA European Truck Championship.  Walker qualified his 2-Eleven on the front row on a much drier track and from each rolling start took early leads.  However conditions got the better of him in the first race as Fullalove tracked him down from ninth on the grid.  Walker then had the leading Exige of Gregory Rasse to contend with, losing out again by just two seconds.

In the next race, Walker held off Fullalove for the duration of the 30-minuter, his margin just over a second.  Poleman Christophe Lisandre completed the race in third place, with Rasse scoring another class win just behind.

Gavin Kirby was favourite for honours in the Production class but a spin early on took himself and Exige runner Olivier Cunat out of the race.  So it was left to James Knight and Michael Edwards to dispute victory – Knight won the first encounter, lapping amongst the faster machinery with Edwards third behind newcomer Ben Gower, whilst spins from both eventually gave the nod to Edwards later on.  The Invitation class trophies went to David Harvey and Cai Cederholm.
