Lotus had a low key visibility at this years’ Festival of Speed with their new car range being showcased by UK dealer Bell & Colvill. B&C had an Elise 220 in Electric Light Blue, an Exige Sport 380 in Kawasaki Green and the Evora Sport 410 featured in our recent track test in Metallic Black. Their stand was busy for the entire event with the cars gathering large interest from the crowd and orders were taken for new cars over the event.

Classic Team Lotus as usual had a wonderful selection of their cars on display and driving up the famous hill including Type 25’s and many Type 49’s with legendary mechanic Bob Dance on hand to fettle the cars ready for their runs.

We also saw a nice selection of Lotus cars in the Supercar Paddock on display to the public alongside Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren and other prestige sports car brands.

A Lotus Type 72 in Gold Leaf livery also featured on the Gerry Judah centrepiece sculpture, which for this year was themed to honour the lifetime achievements of Bernie Ecclestone.
