A damp Friday saw the start of the 2017 Goodwood Revival, but some showers didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of another packet event on the Goodwood estate.

TLF headed down to see what Lotus cars we could spot at the Revival this year. As ever, before you enter the event, the ‘Pre-66’ car park is a sight to enjoy many hours wandering around. With a huge array of incredibly rare classics parked up, it was good to see some Lotus cars in amongst them.

Racing this year is as ever well subscriber by the historic Lotus cars run by privateers and the excellent Classic Team Lotus. We spotted several Lotus 18’s ready to race in the Chicester Cup, a number of 11’s and 17’s racing in the Madgwick Cup, a Type 30 making it’s way out for practise in the Whitsun Trophy and Lotus Type 21’s and 25’s ready for the Glover Trophy. We wish all teams and drivers well for their races this weekend.

Even on the way out, we spotted some brave Elise owners bought their cars to the public car parks which were quickly becoming deep in mud on the entry and exit routes.

If you are going to the Revival this weekend, have a wonderful time and if you can’t make it, Goodwood will be live streaming the whole event via their Youtube channel.
