Have you ever seen a car as beautiful as this, captured so well basking in the late summer sun? This Elan Sprint was photographed by Martyn Lewis (MartL | www.martynlewisphotography.com | facebook) and is his 3rd PoTM winner having previous supplied us with some amazing pictures in the PoTM gallery.

The Elan Sprint was the final version of the Lotus Elan and sold between 1971 and 1973. The Spritn is currently one of the most sought after Elans with prices ranging from £23,000 to £35,000. With a claimed (although never matched) 0-60 in sub 6 seconds and top speed of 130mph it was no slouch in it’s day (and even now in truth!) and is a similar model to the Elan made famous by Diana Riggs’ character, “Emma Peel” in The Avengers TV series.
