Lotus have a significant presence again at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, on from today until Sunday 14th July. The Lotus stand is packed with current Lotus products including the Exige S, new Exige S Roadster and debuting at the show, the Elise S Club Racer. Also on display is an Exige S Cup car, a real racer for the road in the special order ‘Pewter Grey’ paint and Lotus F1 Team have their F1 car on the stand for you to get up close to. Lotus also have the Evora Cup Racer, Evora GT4 plus a Lotus Driving Academy Elise 1.6 and the actual Exige S used in the upcoming movie, RED 2.
The new Elise S Club Racer in Daytona Blue is shown fully specced with air con, soft top (yes, it’s an extra!), forged wheels and comfort pack so retails at £39,600 (base price, £35,600). As per our previous news, there is also a dealer upgrade available for the car with a high flow TRD air filter and Sports Exhaust. Dealers will be getting deliveries of their Club Racer demo in September and customer deliveries are planned to commence in October, with Lotus offering a great 1% finance deal on the cars.
The new Exige S Roadster on the stand is Ardent Red with Premium Pack interior in Oyster leather. The Roadster differs from the Coupe with the deletion of the roof, front splitter and rear spoiler plus a softer suspension set up more in tune with its lifestyle focussed market. The car is limited to 145mph, down from the 170mph top speed of the Coupe.
The Exige V6 Cup belongs to a customer of long term Lotus dealer Bell & Colvill and is shown in the popular Pewter Grey paint. Available at £62,995 there’s a current 5 month waiting list for the car, built in house by Lotus Sport.
Lotus also have the Evora GT4 on show, of which they’re sold 25 now and are doing well leading their respective championships including leading the Brazilian International GT Open. Again, this is a current product and available right now for £124,800.
If you’re at the Festival on Saturday, keep an eye out for Lotus F1 Team’s Romain Grosjean who will take the Exige S Roadster up the hill for its official ‘launch’ with Lotus COO holding on tight in the passenger seat!
