Adam Gore heads to the LoTRDC finals day at Snetterton next month (1 November) chasing a title double, having already secured the inaugural Elise Trophy championship.

Gore has led the Elise Trophy standings all year and sealed the title at last month’s Donington rounds with a brace of victories. Chief rival Fulvio Mussi has been unable to complete the season, leaving Craig Denman and Jason Baker to take up the challenge, but despite podium finishes, both are now unable to overhaul Gore’s total.

“It feels amazing to be the first Elise Trophy champion,” Gore said. “It has always been a dream of mine to win a championship, so to win the first one is doubly special. It’s all thanks to Rob Boston Racing, the team, my mechanic Paul, Dave and Bob and the rest of the support team. When I first saw Fulvio Mussi and [BTCC ace] Jack Goff on the entry list I thought ‘that’s going to be difficult!’ But when I started racing with them it has made it even more fun. To beat those guys has felt amazing, they’re professional racing drivers.”

Having claimed the championship, Gore will be unable to relax at Snetterton, however, for he remains in contention for the Lotus Cup UK Production crown. Gore is leading rival driving squad Anthony Dunn and Stuart Ratcliff by 15 points, but has suffered retirements. With full points awarded after each half of the two-hour race making a total of 50 points, plus bonus points for class pole and fastest lap, Adam will need reliability to seal a second title.
“The Production Class of Lotus Cup UK isn’t done yet,” he confirmed. “I’ve got to go to Snetterton and win both hours. I’d like to then step up in Cup UK. I’m speaking to people about the SuperSport classes and buying a car, but it’s a big jump in money so I’m looking for sponsors.”
