This weekend Lotus Cup UK and the Elise Trophy race alongside motor racing’s stars at Brands Hatch, as support to the DTM.
Rob Boston and Steve Quick are the form men in the Elise Trophy after intense battles in the opening round at Silverstone. They will face stiff opposition with Ken Savage, Phil Stratton-Lake and Craig Denman leading the charge in a capacity 32-car field.
Meanwhile David Fenn rejoins son Rob to protect his early title lead in Lotus Cup UK but with Adrian Hall, Campbell Cassidy and Chris Randall, plus Liz Halliday and Steve Train to contend with, it will be a closely-fought contest. There will also be a strong attack from the Evoras of Adrian Lester and Gavan Kershaw in addition to the Steve Williams car that led at round one in the hands of Martin Donnelly, who will also be joining old racing friends Damon Hill, Mark Blundell, Julian Bailey, Perry McCarthy and David Brabham in a Scirocco race.
With F1 drivers David Coulthard and Ralf Schumacher chasing DTM leaders Gary Paffett and Jamie Green; celebrity spectators this weekend include Jenson Button, Paul Di Resta and former Elise Trophy racer Jake Humphrey. The latest Lotus race car – Evora GTC will also be on display in the LoTRDC paddock, making Kent the place to be this weekend!
