The highlight of issue two of the LOTUS Magazine, published by the legendary British car manufacturer, is a photo shoot of the future Lotus car models in the Hollywood Hills – by iconic South-African photographer Purienne. The shoot represents the first time the future range has been photographed in a real life situation.
For the uninitiated, the LOTUS Magazine is so much more than a car magazine. It’s a lifestyle choice. “It celebrates the Lotus spirit – adventure, style, pioneering spirit, innovation, and quality – in all areas of modern lifestyle”, said Group Lotus CEO Dany Bahar. “This magazine is the perfect example of Lotus as a lifestyle brand.”
Still not convinced? Look no further than the “Hollywood issue” for evidence: Here you have an interview with Jeremy Curl, the famous 28 year old explorer heralded as the new Lawrence of Arabia, a tribute to the legendary Jochen Rindt, the James Dean of Formula-One-Racing, a test drive with Matt Damon, a feature on the King of Surfing, Doc Paskowitz and a sneaky peak behind the scenes of Pretty Woman, one of the many motion pictures starring a Lotus. All this plus a sensational photographic portfolio by acclaimed snapper Tom Schierlitz, dedicated to the start of the F1-season and the new Lotus-Renault GP entry.
These are just a few examples of how the magazine transports the reader on an exciting journey into the world of Lotus. 164 pages of pure unadulterated adventure, style and entertainment. “LOTUS Magazine offers high class journalism from an excellent editorial staff of renowned international writers and photographers”, said Publisher Christian Kämmerling, who has been decorated with an impressing number of magazine publishing awards himself. “Lotus is a great brand, and now we are channelling its return to form. This needs to be backed up by exceptional journalism.”
