Lotus fans heading to Brands Hatch this weekend are in for a treat as Lotus unveil their new race car for the Lotus Cup series, the Exige Cup. Weighing in at 1,080kgs and with a 0-60 of 3.8 seconds the car will top out at 170mph and cost £62,995 in ‘Track Day’ guise and £74,995 in for the ‘Cup Competition’ edition. Deliveries of the car are anticipated to begin in mid-December and will be limited to 20 cars this model year. The car features as standard a fitted roll hoop and A-Frame along with plumbed in fire extinguisher and HANS compliant drivers seat. Driver and passenger benefit from 4 point harnesses plus ingress/egress is aided by a removable steering wheel, the engine gets a baffled oil sump and there are external and internal battery isolator switches.
