The Lotus Forums will be exhibiting this year at the Classic Car Show at the NEC in Birmingham from the 11th -13th November. Our third consecutive year at the event sees us moved into one of the larger halls along with the Ferrari, Porsche and TVR owners clubs along with others. We’ve been allocated 90m2 which will be filled with 4 cars, our display stand and a collection of items for sale which will be of interest to Lotus fans and enthusiasts that will include our own merchandise, Classic Team Lotus and more.

Our display this year should reflect the fact we’re branching out into a wider variety of Lotus cars but as a show stopper we’ve decided that once more we’ll fill our stand with white Esprits. On display will be:

  • 1976 Esprit S1 in Monaco White with Menzies Tartan interior, recently fully retrimmed to original spec by reknown coachtrimmer Nick Fulcher. Owner, Ken Baird also has Esprit Sport350 #007 and an Exige Cup 260 in his current collection.
  • 1986 Esprit S3 Turbo in Monaco White owned by Mike Pearce. Mike’s collection also includes an Elan M100 and until recently a Lotus Carlton.
  • 1996 Esprit S4s in Monaco White owned by Cliff Ledger who also has one of the best condition 1987 Esprit S3 Turbo’s we’ve seen and an Emerald Green Excel ‘Hethel Celebration’ SE in which he commutes to work in London every day.
  • 2002 Esprit V8 in Pearlescent Ice White owned by Lotus CEO, Dany Bahar. This car has been subject to a recent £70k renovation as featured here and was at the ‘Lotus VIP’ event at the Louvre in Paris last month to launch the new range of Lotus cars.

It goes without saying that we’re very grateful to all owners for the loan of their vehicles and to all volunteers for their time and good company at the show.

Come and see us, you’ll be able to get some excellent photo’s of the cars and TLF members will be on hand to answer any questions about the cars, the forums and ownership in general. We’re on stand 4C225 in Hall 4 and discounted tickets are available, please see below.
