This weekend will see the final Elise Trophy sprint races of the season as the series heads to Silverstone’s National circuit. Earlier in the season on the old Grand Prix layout, Marcus Jewell proved to be unbeatable against Luigi Mazza but with the latter’s breakthrough win at Oulton Park last month he is bound to be up for a rematch.
James Knight and Simon Phillips were also in the hunt back in April and Adam Bewsey will be keen to build upon his pole position from that day. Look out too for Steve Williams, Gary Broad and Michael Edwards amongst field of 40 cars providing classic Elise Trophy action, plus ex-BTCC driver Eugene O’Brien making his debut appearance.
The weekend also kicks off another busy three weeks for the Lotus on Track Racing Drivers Club as it’s followed by the final round of Lotus Cup Europe in Assen one week later, then the briefest of breaks before the Lotus 1000km at Brands Hatch.
