Right now, JCT600 Lotus Leeds has something very special in their showroom…a limited edition Lotus Evora GTE V6 S Sports Racer– one of only 20 Evora GTE’s made worldwide.
The Evora GTE was a race car developed by Lotus Motorsport for the global endurance GTE category that included races such as the infamous 24 hour Le Mans where the car completed the race in 22nd place, 7th in class and 3rd in the ILMC. To celebrate their achievements at Le Mans, Lotus then went on to build 20 road cars.
Of the 20, some were fine-tuned to each customer’s specification meaning no Evora GTE is truly the same, and thus making them even more of a rarity.
As the last one ever made in the series, this left-hand drive, IPS auto gearbox in British Racing Green metallic with Lotus yellow decals was built using the 3.5l supercharged V6 found in the Evora S. From the year 2015 and including the ‘R20 GTE’ private plate with only 1,342 miles on the clock – this car is truly one of a kind.
